Jacques Gaudet, M.D.
Southern E.N.T is pleased to welcome Dr. Jacques Gaudet into the practice. Dr. Gaudet is the son of senior partner, Dr. Paul T. Gaudet, and is a native of Thibodaux and a graduate of E.D. White Catholic High School. He attended Louisiana State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. Dr. Gaudet went on to attend Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans for medical school. He served as a member of the Aesculapian Society. He was honored with the George D. Lyons Excellence in Otolaryngology Award, an award granted to only one graduating student per year.
Dr. Gaudet was accepted to the LSU-New Orleans residency training program in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He completed this five year program in 2012. He has published numerous papers and was awarded the Louisiana State University E.N.T. Resident Research Award for three consecutive years. He has written papers on topics including endoscopic sinus surgery technique, advanced skin malignancy involving the ear, LASER microsurgery for minimally invasive management of laryngeal cancer and novel techniques for cochlear implantation.
Dr. Gaudet and his wife, Alissa, have two wonderful daughters. As a person who enjoys teaching, he has accepted a position as a part-time faculty member with the LSU Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Program and will continue to teach young physicians.
Southern E.N.T. is pleased to have Dr. Jacques Gaudet available to treat the entire realm of Otolaryngology, including allergy and sinus disease, thyroid and parathyroid disease, head and neck malignancy, benign and malignant disorders of the larynx, pediatric otolaryngic issues, facial cosmetics, chronic ear disease, and hearing loss.
